Kurt comes back to McKinley with Rachel to watch New Directions put up a fun musical. But what he finds instead is heartbreaking.

Kurt and Rachel had slipped into their seats in the packed auditorium just as the musical had begun. They had watched it, enjoyed it and even hummed along to the catchy songs.
But when they came back a little late after the break proceeding the first act, the show had already started. It only took about a second to recognize the song as Beauty School Dropout, and only a second more to see who was playing Teen Angel.
Just as Rachel tapped his shoulder, Kurt realized he’d stopped walking.
“Come on,” Rachel whispered, “our seats are just over there.”
Kurt nodded, and just as he slid into his seat and looked back at the stage, he was met by a pair of golden eyes.
